Description-
Our classic Victorian corset, customized to your colors and fabric choices. Select from our in-stock silks or shop custom colors for no extra charge. We can also construct using your own fabrics (email us for details).
To achieve this look, we do a process called “flatlining”. This uses a beautiful fabric on the outside and combines it with an inner layer of our sturdy cotton coutil inside. With this two layer process we are able to achieve a gorgeous looking corset with the strength and structure of a heavy duty corset inside.
The Alice is designed to be worn with the long, close-fitting cuirasse bodices of the 1880s. The front panels curve around the bust and hips to accentuate the curves; it includes a center front spoon busk closure controlling the waist and lower torso. The corset has double-boning throughout: the front seams with ¼” spiral bones, the straighter, taller back with ¼” steel bones. The neckline in the front is set very low, about 1/2" above the bust line.
